A fan-favorite character, Professor Minerva McGonagall, was rather lived than portrayed by the legendary British actress Dame Maggie Smith. In the new HBO series, Janet McTeer will take the baton and will bring the legendary character to life.

While fans seem to have loved the rest of the casting choices, the choice of actor for Severus Snape is not sitting right with the audience.
